SRINAGAR, Aug 24: The formidable side of Food & Supplies defeated JK SRTC by three goals to nil (3-0) in the ongoing Super Division League Football Tournament, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at Polo Ground, here today.
Earlier, in the first half both the teams matched each others skill and played defensively, however, just 3 minutes before the half time, Food & Supplies striker Yasin pelted a superb goal to give his side a much needed lead. He kicked the ball from the right wing and SRTC goalkeeper in an attempt of saving, punched the ball into his own goal as the shot was well measured and fast.
In second half, Food & Supplies kept its pressure and were successful to convert a penalty kick through Imran to make it (2-0) in their favour and in dying moments of the game Imran scored his second goal to help his team to win the match by three goals to nil (3-0).
Abdul Hamid Banday of J&K Bank, J S Tandon, Managing Director of SRTC and Bilal Ahmad, Director Food & Supplies were the guests of honour.
