AKHNOOR, Jan 10: Friends Cricket Club Jourian defeated Maira Mandrian Cricket Club (MMCC) by a big margin of 52 runs in the ongoing New Year Cricket Cup Akhnoor, being organised by Singh Cricket Club, here.
Batting first, FCC scored 159/6 in the stipulated 20 overs. Mohan and Rohan scored 31 runs each, while Nitin and Robin contributed 27 and 26 runs to the total respectively. Pankaj Sharma took 3 wickets from MMCC.
In reply, MMCC scored 107/7 in the allotted 20 overs, thus lost the match by 52 runs. Vivek Sharma and Puneet contributed 31 and 25 runs to the total respectively. Kalu and Vishal took 2 wickets each from FCC Jourian, while Robin claimed one wicket. Robin was adjudged as the man of the match.
The tournament is being held under the supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
