Farooq Khan distributes prizes as 46th J&K Badminton C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Dec 11: Advisor to LG, Farooq Khan honoured the winners on the valedictory function of the 46th J&K Badminton Championship, which concluded at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
While Mr Khan was the chief guest, Chander Parkash Ganga, former Minister presided over the function.
Naseem Javaid Choudhary, Secretary Sports Council, Ashutosh Sharma and Prem Dewan were the guests of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were OD Sharma, Ravi Singh, Satish Gupta, DV Sharma, Dushyant Sharma, Subash Sharma, Anil Gaind, Sultan Mirza, Sukhdev Singh, Pawanjit Singh and Vivek Mehta.
Balbir Jamwal was the Organising Secretary, Rahul Sharma was the Chief Referee, while Satpal Sahrma and Vikram Jamwal were the technical officials.
Around 250 players took part in the Championship, which carried a cash prize of Rs 1, 00, 000, which was distributed by the chief guest among the winners and runners-up teams.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest advised the youth to take part in sports and other allied activities to be fit and healthy.
He assured them that requisite infrastructure will be developed in various disciplines of sports at an earliest.
