Exhibition Hockey matches mark Olympic Day celebrations across State

JAMMU, June 23: Hockey J&K organized exhibition matches in the men and women categories across the State to commemorate Olympic Day.
JAMMU: Platinum Club defeated Royal Club by straight two goals to nil in women category. From Platinum Club side, both the goals were scored by Rome Nayar in 25th and & 39th minutes.
In men section, Gole Gujral Club crushed MBS Simbal Camp Club by 2-1 goals. From Gole Gujral side, Harsh Vaid scored the first goal in 20th minute, while the second goal was netted by Agamdeep Singh in 45th minute. From Simbal Camp, Jaspreet Singh (Jimmy) netted the goal in the 25th minute.
On the valedictory function, Sudhir Kumar Singh, DTM Northern Railway, Jammu was the chief guest, who awarded the winners in presence of Dr Sanjogita Soodan, Sports Medicine Specialist, J&K Police and Rajinder Singh, Treasure Hockey India, who were guest of honour. Jaswant Singh, senior vice president, Hockey J&K, MS Reen, Resident Secretary and GS Bakshi, General Secretary were also present on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Vaid, Karanjeet Singh and Joginder Singh.
POONCH: The exhibition matches of hockey in men and women categories, organized by Hockey Poonch were played at Sports Stadium here to celebrate Olympic Day. In women Section, Power House beat Stadium XI by 2-0 goals, whereas in men section, Power House smashed Stadium Blue by 3-2 goals.
The title trophies were presented to both the winner teams.
Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School Narinder Suri was the chief guest, who awarded the winners in presence of Mohan Choudhary DFO, who was guest of honour. Sham Lal Sharma, Retd SAI Hockey Coach, Vice President of Hockey J&K, Narjeet Singh ZPEO, Nirdosh Kumar, Incharge Sports Stadium Poonch, Jaswant Singh, Retd NDSI, Ravinder Kumar, Mushtaq Ahmed, Boxing Coach, Ram Parkash and Jasbir Singh.
The matches were officiated by Mukesh Kumar, NIS hockey, Vikas Raina, Harmik Singh and Vikas Sharma, while Vijay Kumar, PEM acted as State Secretary.
