JAMMU, June 23: The International Olympic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at KK Hakku Stadium, Jammu, organized by the J&K Sports Council under the guidance of Secretary Nuzhat Gul and the J&K Hockey Association. The event was supervised by Satpal Singh Kala, Divisional Sports Officer Jammu JKSC, along with Dr. Taran Singh, General Secretary and Tajinder Singh, Secretary of J&K Hockey Association.
Over 300 participants attended the celebration, which featured an exhibition hockey match by women’s teams. The chief guest, Shekhar J. Manohar, Treasurer of Hockey India and guest of honour Senthil K. Manickam, Secretary of Strategic Planning, Asian Hockey Federation, praised the efforts of the organizers.
Other officials present included Ajay Gupta, Incharge KK Hakku Stadium; Pawan Deep Kour, Athletic Coach; Ritika Slathia; Chhotu Lal Sharma, International Fencing Coach; Vikas Magotra, Incharge Mini Stadium Parade Ground; and Rachana Jamwal and International Fencing Coach.
