JAMMU, July 8: A special Executive body meeting of Ice Skating and Ice Hockey Associations of UT J&K was conducted here under the chairmanship of its new president Farooq Ahmad Shah.
Hafeeza Hassan vice president, M Ashraf Dijoo general secretary and Surebjeet Singh treasurer of the Association were also present on the occasion.
At the outset, Rouf Tramboo joint secretary of Ice Skating Association of J&K presented the welcome address.
M Ashraf Dijoo hoped that with the dynamic qualities of Shah, the Associations will be provided all the requisite facilities in terms of providing Ice plant to the Gulmarg rink and establishment of new ice rinks at Boulevard Srinagar, Pahalgam and Sonmarg areas to have 24×7 ice events in all weather conditions.
Farooq Ahamad Shah assured that he will take up the matter with the Government and JKSSC to create all these facilities for the talented youths of J&K, so as to prepare them for National and International Championships.
In the end, vote of thanks was given by Rouf Tramboo.
