JAMMU, Nov 14: Evershine Cricket Club defeated Narwal Cricket Club by 56 runs in the 2nd Diwali Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Youth Welfare Association Cricket Club Simbal Camp at Government Boys High School, Simbal Camp, here today.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, ESCC Satwari made 114 runs in stipulated 20 overs. Ajay scored 29 runs, while Dheeraj contributed 28 runs. Chhotu and Ravinder contributed13 runs each.
For Narwal Cricket Club, Suresh scalped 4 wickets by giving 19 runs in 3 overs, Neesha took 3 by conceding 32 runs in 4 overs, while Kaka and Shokat claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Narwal Cricket Club Jammu collapsed at 58 runs in 14 overs. Sanju and Sachin chipped in with 13 and 10 respectively. For Evershine Cricket Club, Vicky scalped 4 wickets by giving away 14 runs in 4 overs, Vicky Punjabi got 3 wickets by conceding 18 runs in 4 overs and Dheeraj took 2 wickets. Dheeraj of ESCCwas adjudged as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh(Physical Education Master) and Gurvinderpal Singh as umpires, while Lovneel Singh maintained the scorebook.
