U-15 Boys Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Apr 7: Elite A defeated Siddhant Cricket Academy convincingly in the summit clash to win the title trophy of the Under -15 Boys Cricket Tournament, organised by Elite Cricket Club in association with Vriddhi Sports Foundation at Col RN Chopra Cricket Academy Ground, here.
Four teams participated in this tournament and the participating teams included Elite A, Elite B, Game Changers Cricket Club and Siddhant Cricket Academy. I
Elite A and Siddhant Academy entered the finals of this 40 overs League tournament.
Earlier, in the final, Siddhant Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, Siddhant Academy scored 166 runs in 30.4 overs. Achintya Khajuria top scored with 42 runs, while Swayam and Tejas contributed 19 and 18 runs to the total respectively. For Elite A, Tegvansh Singh took 5 wickets by conceding 43 runs in his 7 overs, while Mannat Bedi claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Elite A scored 172 runs in 32.2 overs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets.
For Elite A, Shavac Makin top scored with unbeaten 91 runs, while Ashutosh Mahajan contributed 31 runs.
For Siddhant Academy, Achintya and Bismadh took 1 wicket each. Tegvansh Singh was adjudged as the best bowler of the tournament, Shavac Makin as best batsman and Adhijay Mehta as the best fielder, while Shavac Makin and Tegvansh Singh were the joint winners of the man of the match award. Man of the series award was also bagged by Shavac Makin.
The matches were officiated by Deepak Singh Bhau and Tarun Chib as the umpires, while Sujit Kumar was the scorer. The tournament was held under the overall supervision of Sukomal Ganguly, Cricket coach.
