Electrical Deptt to face Automobile Engineering in finals of Fazil Abbas Volleyball tourney

JAMMU, Apr 12: Defeating their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, Electric Engineering Department and Automobile Engineering sealed berth in the finals and will lock horns against each other in the summit clash of the ongoing Fazil Abbas Inter-Department Rolling Trophy Volleyball Tournament, being organised in Government Polytechnic, here.
Earlier, in the 1st semifinal played between Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering Department, the spikes of Yaseen Malik and Avandeep Singh from Civil Engineering Department didn’t allow Electrical Engineering Department an easy win. But Abhishek Changotra and Naseer Ahmed from Electrical Engineering Department showed some extraordinary spiking skills, which were amalgam of blocking and smashing.
Finally, Electrical Engineering Department won the game by 2-0 sets.
In the 2nd semifinal played between Automobile Engineering Department and Travel & Tourism Department, exceptional performance from Neeraj Sharma of Automobile Engineering restricted Ashish and Pankaj of Travel and Tourism Department from doing any damage and finally Automobile Engineering Department snatched the victory from Travel and Tourism by 2-0 sets.
The Tournament was organised under the overall supervision of Rakesh Kakkar, Physical Education Master of Sports Department.
Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the College was chief guest on the occasion, while prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Inderjeet Singh, Workshop Supdt, KS Bhatia HoD (Mechanical), Er Sukhdeep Singh HoD (Civil), Er Rajesh Gupta, HoD (Automobile), Amit Sharma HoD (Travel and Tourism), Er Zia-ul Haq, HoD (Computer) Er Sanjay Gupta HoD (Electrical),  Rajesh Khajuria, TPO, Toshi Devi, PET, Er PK Angral, Dheeraj Angral and Er. Vandana Chib.
