KATHUA, Aug 26: District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kathua, Sunil Kumar supervised the District Level Inter-Zonal tournaments in six sports disciplines at different venues here today.
Under-19 boys and girls Cricket competitions were held at Sports Stadium Kathua along with the competitions in Wrestling, Speedball and Judo, while Swimming competition was held at Jandi Pond and Chess at DAV Lachipur.
The gold medals in different events in Swimming went to Himanshu Jambwal of GHSS Hiranagar, Arun Tandayal of GHSS Hiranagar and Manik Sharma of GHSS Kootah.
The competitions were officiated by Narender Kumar Choudhary, Subhash Chander Choudhary and Kulbhushan.
In Chess, Jatin of St Xavier School Hatli Morh emerged winner in boys section, while in girls section,
Khushbu of GHSS Sallan was the winner.
The officials included Sanjay Kumar,
Mandeep Singh, Praveen Singh and Manhor Lal.
In Under-19 boys Cricket, Mahanpur Zone defeated Barnoti Zone via super-over to seal berth in the finals.
