REASI, July 13: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) in Reasi today organized a sports competition for women especially for the housewives at High School Kambel Danga Reasi.
Different sports activities such as Carrom, Badminton and Tug of War were included to provide a variety of options for the women participants. The purpose of these sports competitions was to promote women’s participation in sports and provide them with a platform to showcase their talent and skills.
These activities not only enhance their physical fitness but also foster teamwork, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship. The event was specifically targeted towards housewives, aiming to encourage them to engage in sports and physical activities. Often, due to various responsibilities and societal norms, women tend to neglect their own health and interests. By organizing such competitions, the Department of Youth Services and Sports aims to empower and motivate women to lead active and healthy lifestyles in rural areas as well as in urban areas.
The competition was organized by ZPEO Reasi, Ram Krishan Bhat under the supervision of Tersem Singh DYSSO Reasi. Head Master Kambal Danga, Manoj Kumar was also present on the occasion.
