REASI, June 7: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) has organized Inter-Zone District level sports meet for under-14 and under-17 girls in the disciplines of Tug of War, Chess, Carrom, Rope Skipping, Badminton and Yoga at General Zorawar Singh Stadium and Indoor Sports Complex Reasi.
Over 125 girls drawn from Zone Chassana, Zone Mahore, Zone Arnas, ZonePouni and Zone Reasi of Reasi district participated in this tournament. DYSS officer, Reasi Tersem Singh appreciated the efforts of field staff for the smooth conduct of Inter-Zonal U14 and U17 both boys and girls.
The event took place under the supervision of district (DYSS) officer, Tersem Singh. Ram Krishan Bhat, Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Reasi were also present there.
Finals Result – girls in Yoga Under 14- Agriyasharma (Reasi) Ist , Mehnaz Kouser(Reasi ) 2nd, Nena devi(Reasi) 3rd. Under 17- Riyakumari (Reasi) Ist, Kritika Khajuria (Reasi) 2nd, and Divyanshi Bali (Reasi) 3rd.
Tug of War- U14- Zone Reasi defeated Pouni (Zone). U17- Pouni (Zone) defeated Reasi (Zone)
Carrom U14- (Double), Sheetal Dogra and Rajni Devi of Zone Reasi defeated Kamakshi and Abida Tabassum (Pouni). Singles- Tamanna Devi (Reasi) defeated Bakhti Devi (Pouni).
Under 17- (Double) Raj Kumari and Geetika Sharma (Reasi) defeated Nandani and Sakshi Rajput (Pouni). Singles – Rahila Anjum of Reasi defeated Pallavi Devi (Poun).
Chess – under 14 single, Nancy Rajput (Reasi) defeated NishaDevi (Reasi). Under 17 – Sonia Raina (Reasi) defeated Gulmehak (Reasi).
Rope Skipping, under 14 – Nancy Langeh (Reasi) Ist and Surbhi Devi (Pouni) came 2nd. Under 17- Anjali Devi (Pouni) stood 1st and SukritiKatoch (Reasi) stood 2nd. Nisha Devi (Reasi) 3rd.
Badminton, under 17 singles; NeshaDevi (Reasi) defeated Akshita Sharma (Pouni), Doubles; Vidushi Sharma and Anjali Devi (Pouni) Mansi Devi and Anjali Devi (Reasi), singles, under 14 Manvi devi (Pouni ) defeated Aradhya (Reasi). In doubles; Arshpreet Kour and Haseena Bhukari defeated Prachi Singh and Kushi Devi (Reasi). The matches were officiated by the panel deputed by DYSSO Reasi.
