JAMMU, Nov 25: Delhi University Delhi, PAU Ludhiana, GNDU Amritsar and HPU Shimla registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing 4th All India Vice Chancellor’s T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu University at University Grounds, here.
Earlier, DU Delhi drubbed PU Patiala by 4 wickets in a low scoring affair. Batting first, PU Patiala scored a modest total of 108 runs in 18.1 overs. Pritpal (36), Prem Prakash (17) and Deepak (16) were the main contributors. Dinesh was pick of the bowlers from DU Delhi, scalping 4 wickets by conceding 18 runs in his 4 overs, while Hari Mehta claimed two.
In reply, DU Delhi reached the required total in 19.3 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process, thus winning the match by 4 wickets. Dev Singh was the top scorer with 39 runs, while Surinder, Narinder and Sanjay claimed one wicket each. For PU Patiala, Prem Prakash bagged 3 wickets, while Harpreet and Pritpal picked one wicket each.
The match was officiated by Suresh Singh, Raman Dogra and Satpal.
In other match, GNDU Amritsar defeated DDU Gorakhpur by 75 runs. GNDU scored 139 runs, while DDU bundled-out for a paltry total of 64 runs to lose the match by 75 runs. Hindel Sharma was top scorer for GNDU, scoring 30 runs, while Dayashankar claimed 3 wickets for DDU. Hindel Sharma and Ashwani scalped 2 wickets each for GNDU.

In another match, HPU Shimla outplayed Mumbai University by 32 runs. HPU scored 141 runs in 20 overs, while Mumbai University could manage to score 109 runs in 17.5 overs to lose the match by 32 runs. Lalit Kumar top scored with 43 runs from HPU Shimla, while Attaulla Khan was the top scorer for Mumbai University. Sanjay Pawar claimed 5 wickets for Mumbai University, while Chetwar Singh and Dharam Prakash claimed 2 wickets each for HPU University.

PAU Ludhiana defeated Jalgaon University by 16 runs in a close contest. PAU scored 132 runs in stipulated 20 overs, while in reply, Jalgaon University bundled out for 116 runs in 18.5 overs. Harish, Jagtar Chand and Eclove scored 38, 35 and 27 runs for PAU Ludhiana.
