JAMMU, Apr 2: Dr RL Sharma Memorial Inter-Collegiate Tournaments, being organised by the Trikuta Group of Colleges got underway, here today.
The 7-days tournament is being played in the memory of Late Dr Roop Lal Sharma, Founder Chairman Shri Sain Charitable Trust.
The tournaments are being held in the disciplines of Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tug of War, Carrom and Chess.
Suman Sharma, Shri Sain Charitable Trust was the chief guest on the inaugural function and declared the tournaments open.
On the opening day, the matches were played in Cricket (Men & Women), Badminton (Women) and Volleyball (Men).
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ritesh Sharma and Ravish Sharma, Managing Directors of the Trust; Japna Sharma and Jasuda Sharma, CEO Trikuta Group of Colleges; Jai Kumar Sharma, Director Trikuta Group of Colleges; Dr Raghubir Singh, Principal JIAR; Dr Nitin Mahajan, Vice Principal JIAR; Dr Navinder Pal Singh, Principal Jammu College Physiotherapy; Dr Vishwa Bharti, Principal Trikuta College of Edcuation; Dr Usha Koul, Principal Sain Charitable Institute of Paramedical Sciences and Sunita Magotra, Principal Trikuta Degree College.
