REASI, June 1: Delhi Public School, SMVDU, Katra organized investiture ceremony with pomp and show.
The programme began with the prayer and DPS song by the school choir. Badges and sashes were conferred to the new members of the school cabinet by the Principal RK Verma and Head Mistress Vandna Sharma.
The Head boy Ohm Kesar and the Head girl Veepasha Singh delivered the oath and took the pledge to hold school motto on the occasion.
The school cabinet for the session is comprised of four houses namely Chenab, Jhelum, Ganga and Yamuna. Prabal Gupta has been appointed as House Captain of Chenab House, Raghav Chargotra of Jhelum House, Gouri Dubey of Ganga House and Sucheta Deb of Yamuna House, while Kashish Bharti has been nominated as Vice Captain of Chenab House, Neha Sharma of Jhelum House, Rudr Kesar of Ganga House and Nasir Ali of Yamuna House. Anikate Singh is Sports Captain of Chenab House, Anmol Sharma of Jhelum House, Anurag Suri of Ganga House and Ishant Bansotra of Yamuna House. Dhanika Khajuria has been elected as Cultural Secretary of Chenab House, Sondary Dubey of Jhelum House, Sujagya Sharma of Ganga House and Hemankshi Sharma of Yamuna House.
Principal of the school stressed the need to become more focused in their goals and to inculcate the value of honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership as vital qualities.
