JAMMU, Feb 17: Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu students showcased their groundbreaking project, ‘Carbifier’, at the IIT Jammu Tech Fair – Pragyaan. The project, created by Manaswin Mahajan, Danish Talwar, Manya Targotra, Rudraksh Bargotra and Taransh Mahajan, is a carbon conversion device that transforms harmful emissions like CO and CO from industrial factories into methane, a cleaner fuel for energy production and transportation. Using solar energy and AI-driven technology, it aims to reduce air pollution by 24%.
The project received significant recognition from IIT Jammu experts, faculty and other educational institutions for its innovative approach to sustainability. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, who attended as the chief guest, applauded the students for their forward-thinking approach. A 40-member delegation from DPS Jammu, including students and faculty members Dheeraj Dewan Thakur, Yogita Devi and Gurvinder Kour also participated in the fair, further engaging with cutting-edge technological innovations.
