JAMMU, June 3: Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu organised a leadership programme at Royal Retreat, Hari Niwas, Jammu, inducting 139 student leaders for the academic session 2026-27. The event, themed “Sankalp Se Siddhi Ki Aur,” celebrated leadership, responsibility and student empowerment.
The programme was graced by Prof BS Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, as chief guest. Guests of honour included alumni Rahul Mahajan, Ayush Pandita, Navya Gupta, Pragun Sharma, Kalash Gupta attended as special guests. The Student Council is led by Head Boys Samanyu Sharma (XII H) and Sparsh Bakshi (XII B) and Head Girls Kashvi Arora (XII H) and Chitrani Razdan (XII H), along with other council members representing various committees and clubs.
Welcoming the gathering, Dr Ritu Singh lauded chief guest for his pioneering contribution to the establishment and growth of premier institutions such as IIM Raipur and IIM Jammu.
Principal Ruchi Chabra highlighted the importance of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and ethical leadership in the age of Artificial Intelligence. Director SS Sodhi, Director DPS Jammu and DPS Nagbani and Pro-Vice Chairman DPS Katra, urged students to lead with integrity, discipline, empathy, and service.
Prof. Sahay encouraged students to embrace innovation, vision, and lifelong learning while contributing to nation-building. The programme included oath-taking, badge distribution and a cultural Kathak performance. Vote of thanks was delivered by Headmaster Ravi Kotroo.
