DPS Jammu begins campaign for Kerala Relief Fund

JAMMU, Aug 21: In view of the catastrophic floods in Kerala and tremendous loss of life and property in the state, DPS Jammu started a three-week long ‘Campaign for Kerala Relief Fund’ in the school today which will go on till September 9, 2018.
SS Sodhi, Director, DPS Jammu expressed shock over the loss of several hundred lives and property worth crores because of natural calamity in Kerala.
Around 500 staff members of DPS Jammu have donated their one day’s salary towards the flood relief works in Kerala while considering their moral duty.
The students of the school also rallied for the humanitarian cause through slogans and making appeals to all people of Jammu to liberally donate through cash and kind for this campaign.
The three-week long campaign is expected to generate substantial relief in every possible way for the disaster affected people of Kerala.
The Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra has called upon the entire DPS family to donate generously to help the victims of Kerala in this hour of distress.
Also present on the occasion were Headmistress, Meenu Gupta, Administrator, CL Malhotra, Manager (Operations), Karandeep Singh and other staff members.
President, RCT, MK Ajatshatru Singh and Pro-Vice Chairperson, Kunwrani Ritu Singh appreciated the efforts of the DPS family in helping the flood victims of Kerala.
