JAMMU, Sept 3: APS Ratnuchak and APS Akhnoor shall meet DPS and MHAC Nagbani respectively in the semi finals of the boys section of the ongoing Inter School Basketball championship being organized by the J&K Basketball association at MA Stadium here.
In the girls section, Heritage shall take on Rest of Jammu green while Carmel Convent shall meet JK public school.
In their last pool outing, APS Akhnoor outplayed minnows SMVD Katra 38-13, while APS Ratnuchak humbled Jodhamal Public School 20-09. In girls section, RoJ green had a tough time getting past a fighting JK public school 46-42. SMVD Katra girls also gave Banyan international girls run for their money by putting up a tough fight before going down 14-15. Katra girls were playing in the first ever tournament of their career.
The semifinals will be played Monday morning while the finals will be played in the evening same day. T
his is the first ever inter school tournament organized by J&K Basketball Association in which 26 teams in boys and girls sections participated.
