JAMMU, Nov 24: Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, organized the Annual Sports Meet at Dogra Ground, Shastri Nagar, here.
Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and president, Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K, was the chief guest on the occasion. Surekha Charak was the guest of honour and Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, was the special guest on the occasion. The Principal Davinder Kour welcomed the guests.
The Sports Meet was started by letting off Balloons in the air by the chief guest, guest of honor and special guest and by the children of the school. The games were started with Mass Drill. A cultural programme was also presented by the students on the occasion.
While expressing his views during the event, the chief guest said that frequent Sports and other Co-curricular activities are always helpful for developing the balanced personality of children.
Samar Dev Singh Charak, secretary, Dogra Educational Trust in his brief but impressive speech threw light on how the school progressed over the years since its inception. The Medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) were given amongst the best adjudged students in different event by Surekha Charak, President Managing Committee, DHSS.
At the end, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Managing Director, Dogra Higher Secondary School, praised the efforts put in by the Principal, Staff, Students and Parents in making this event a grand success.
