JAMMU, Nov 28: Dogra Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar, Jammu, organized Annual Sports Meet at Dogra Ground, Gandhi Nagar, here.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and former Member CWC (AICC) and president Dogra Sadar Sabha (J&K), was the chief guest on the occasion. while Surekha Charak, president Managing Committee, Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar and Samar Dev Singh Charak, secretary, Dogra Educational Trust were the special guests on the occasion.
Davinder Kour Principal, Dogra Higher Secondary School presented welcome address.
The Sports Meet was started by letting off colourful balloons in the air by the chief guest and other dignitaries.
The games were started with Mass Drill. A Cultural Programme was also presented by the students on the occasion.
The chief guest in his speech stressed upon the students to participate in games and sports with sporting spirit.
The students who brought laurels to the School in different events at National, State and District Level were honoured by the chief guests.
Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust and Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Managing Director also spoke on the occasion.
The medals were distributed among the best adjudged students in different events by Surekha Charak, president MC, DHSS.
