JAMMU, Mar 31: Dogra College of Education organized its alumni meet with the aim to celebrate and refresh old relationship and form new one where a galaxy of alumni from varied batches attended.
The students of the college welcomed the alumni to their Alma mater with the Saraswati Vandana. Dr Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal Dogra College of Education, updated the alumni about the new initiatives taken up by the institute and emphasized on the significant role of the alumni as stake holders in the up gradation of the institution at multiple levels.
The event was glittered with the cultural programme performed by the students of the college. A lot of the alumni spoke about their college life and shared their experiences. Many alumni from different session of Dogra College of Education gathered to revive their old memories. The day’s programme had a lot of exciting events that entertained the alumni. The alumni appreciated the efforts of the college administration and opined that these get together should be organized more frequently. The alumni also took a tour of the whole campus and their nostalgic memories in the interactive session.
Th Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman Dogra Educational Trust addressed the alumni. In his speech, he blessed the alumni for their achievements and wished them good luck in their future. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, alumni and member Trustee, addressed the alumni and appreciated the idea of organizing alumni meet, which created a special bond between the students who have passed out and who have established themselves already in the outside world.
Mubarak Singh, Director Administration and Campus Development, Dogra Educational Trust also addressed the alumni.
Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Education Trust, Bela Thakur, Principal Dogra Degree College and Prof VP Magotra, Principal Dogra Law College, Shefali Sharma, Academic Coordinator Dogra College of Education and staff members of the college were also present among the dignitaries in the event.
The meet concluded with vote of thanks by Vintee Kumari, Lecturer in Education.
