JAMMU, Oct 7: J&K Sports Council honoured the Divisional Sports Officer, Ashok Singh along with coaches including Madhan Khajuria, Kamal Anand, Suresh Kumar, Rita Rehan, Vaishali Dogra, Sushama Jamwal, Ritka Slathia and Manisha Gupta for their impeccable integrity, unflinching devotion, spotless individuality, unblemished honesty and missionary zeal, here today.
Being punctilious, they devoted their time and energy to deliver their best to serve the society with single minded concentration. Hundreds piercing eyes of players and parents made empirical observations unanimously to scan them for this reward.
“Real coaches are heaven born and their assignments are the most interesting, stupendous and uphill task as it involves our mind (concentration and memory), body (physical exercises/ labour in sport), soul sensitivity and enlightenment,” said Baldev Singh Billawaria, BJP senior leader while attending the ‘National Coaches Day’ as chief guest at MA Stadium, here.
Neetu Randhawa expressed her gratitude to all coaches who are working in house for shaping their wards towards a good human being besides a good sportsperson who represent the country in the international competitions.
The vote of thanks was presented by Ratnesh Puri, whereas proceedings of the function were conducted by Mona Jamwal, mother of one of the aspirants.
Earlier about 100 players took part in the Roller Skating competitions, organised under the “My Youth My Pride” initiative at MA Stadium.
Aditya Mahajan, Bharati Chandel, Tejaswini Kannu besides Satish Gupta Manager Indoor Sports Complex, coaches and staff members were also present during the event.
