JAMMU, Dec 28: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma presented medals to the medalists of the 28th Senior National Wushu Championship for men and women at New Indoor Hall MA Stadium here.
Approximately 1200 participants from 42 affiliated units of Wushu Association of India participated in the championship.
Vijay Saraf President Wushu Association of J&K presented welcome address and briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the development of Wushu in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Saraf stated that Wushu is the high priority sports of the country and during last Asian Games in Jakarta India Wushu team won 4 medals in which one medal was contributed by Wushu Association of J&K.
