District Wushu Championship concludes

KATHUA, Mar 7: District Kathua Wushu Championship, organised by District Kathua Wushu Association under the agesis of Wushu Association of J&K, concluded, here today.
Dr Shailender Mishra, SSP Kathua was the chief guest on the occasion. He distributed prizes among winners of the championship, whereas Ankur Sharma president Ikkjut Jammu was the special guest of the event.
Sajad Hussain, president of the District Kathua Wushu Association presented welcome address and briefed the audience regarding the achievements of the Wushu Sports in the UT and Kathua.
He requested the authorities for the establishment of the Indoor Stadium at Kathua, so that the athletes of the Kathua district can exhibit their best at the international podium.
The chief guest congratulated to all the medallists and participants of the championship and also appreciated them for continuing their training during COVID-19 pandemic.
Sachin, general secretary of the Association presented the vote of thanks.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Wushu Association of J&K is going to organise District Udhampur Wushu Championship at Udhampur from March 8 to 9, whereas 16th UT level Wushu Championship will be held from March 28 to 31at Jammu University.
