RAJOURI, Mar 19: District Rajouri Wrestling Association organized a Daylong District Wrestling Championship, here today.
The championship was organized under the patronage of Wrestling Association of J&K, Wrestling Federation of India, J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association, wherein 32 wrestlers from the district participated in this championship.
Nirmal Kumar Headmaster Govt. High School Sawani was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, while Sahil Raina senior national cyclist was the guest of honour.
Neha Dutta, Amit Sharma, Rakesh Manhas, Pankaj Sharma and Akshay Kumar were present during the championship.
In 50kg, Sajjad Hussain, Mohd. Rukhsar and Danish Pervaiz stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, while in 57kg, Simran Jeet Singh-1st, Rohit Kumar-2nd and Pervaiz Ahmed-3rd, in 61kg, Mohd Basharat-1st, Gurvinder Singh-2nd and Mohd Amjid-3rd, in 65kg, Sajid Mehmood-1st, Rohit Kumar-2nd and Ajaz Ahmed-3rd, in 70kg, Mohd Basharat-1st, Akshay Kumar-2nd and Anil Sharma-3rd, in 79kg, Amit Sharma-1st, Mohd Abdhulla-2nd and Mehmood Hussain-3rd.
