SRINAGAR, July 29: The District Srinagar Carrom Championship 2025–26 was inaugurated today at Carrom Hall, Bakshi Stadium, by MLA Salman Ali Sagar (Hazratbal)
Organised by the District Srinagar Carrom Association under the aegis of the J&K Carrom Association and sponsored by the J&K Sports Council as part of its “My Youth My Pride” initiative, the two-day event sees participation of around 110 players across Cadet (U 12), Sub Junior (U 14), Junior (U?18), and Senior (Open) categories for both men’s and women’s divisions
Also present at the inauguration were Mushtaq Zargar, Manager of Bakshi Stadium; Adil Rashid Shah, President of J&K Carrom Association and District Srinagar Association; Arif Sultan Khan, Treasurer; and Dawar Rashid Gadyari, Assistant Secretary, alongside players, officials, and carrom enthusiasts. On the opening day alone, approximately 80 matches were contested, showcasing promising talent and competitive spirit.
