RAJOURI, Nov 24: District Rajouri Wrestling Championship concluded at Government Higher Secondary School, Teryath, here today.
The championship was organized by District Rajouri Wrestling Association under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir wrestling Association and was sponsored by State sports council Jammu.
Forty wrestlers representing various Wrestling Units drawn from different Tehsils of Rajouri District under different weight categories as per WFI guidelines participated in the day-long event. Bushan Uppal, General Secretary District Rajouri Wrestling Association was the organizing secretary of the Championship while Harjeet Kumar, I/c Principal GHSS Teryath was the chief guest, who distributed prizes, medals and certificates among the participating wrestlers.
The bouts were officiated by the team of technicals namely Anu Radha Sharma(Mat Chairman),Rakesh Khajuria General Secretary JKWA (Director Competition) and Parladh Singh Wrestler (Referee)
The event was organized under the overall supervision of Rakesh Khajuria General Secretary JKWA and Sanjeev Kumar Sharma.
Championship Trophy was won by Wrestlers of Block Khawas.
