District Police Poonch organizes ‘Mehfil-e-Mushiera’

POONCH, Mar 24: With an aim to promote communal harmony in the region, District Police Poonch today organized a ‘Mehfil-e-Mushiera’ at Dak Bungalow Surankote, here today.
14 prominent artists drawn from different parts of the district mesmerized the large gathering.
Large number of audiences drawn from all walks of life encouraged the artists with repeated applauses.
Prominent among the poets who performed on the occasion included Hasam-ul-Din Betab, Sheikh Azad Ahmed Azad, Mastoor Ahmed Shad, Janat HussainSaleem, Amir Shad, Saleem Qureshi, Mehmood Tahir, Bashir Lohar, Mohd Hussain Faqar, Ayaz Ahmed Saif, Hafeez-ul-Rehman Mukdhar, Riyaz Ahmed Sabar, Prof Fateh Mohd Habbasi and Haji Nazir Hussain Bhatti. Mementoes and cash reward was also given to all the participants by SP Poonch.
SP Poonch Shamsheer Hussain while speaking on the occasion underscored the objectives of organizing such programme.
He said that J&K Police endeavor is to provide platform to the talented players, singers and artists to display their talent, besides channelizing the energy of the youth so as to exploit their full potential.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Amit Gupta, ASP Poonch; Khalid Amin, DySP, DAR; Ajay Sharma, DySP Surankote; Hamid Manhas, Tariq Manhas and Nazir Qureshi SHO PS Surankote.
Pardeep Khana coordinated the programme.
