BHADERWAH, Dec 30: District Police Doda organized a Marathon for peace and communal harmony, under Civic Action programme at Bhaderwah, today. Marathon was flagged off by SP Doda Mohammad Arif Rishu, who was chief guest on the occasion in presence of SDM Bhaderwah RK Bharti and other dignitaries. The participants passed through Seri Bazar, Passari Adda, Dandi, Domail Ghata, Udrana and reached to back to Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah, wherefrom it was flagged-off, covering a distance of about 7 km. Sunil Kumar of Degree College Bhaderwah stood first, whereas Khursheed Ahmed R/o Chaka and Parveen Kumar R/o Thuba bagged second and third positions respectively.
The occasion was among others attended by Addl SP Bhaderwah Roop Raj, SDPO Bhaderwah Jameel Choudhary, DySP Hqrs Doda Ajaz Zargar, Tehsildar Bhaderwah, 2IC 4RR, officers from CRPF and other officers from civil administration.
SP Doda and SDM Bhaderwah distributed prizes among the participants. SP Doda while speaking on the occasion stated that aim of organizing such event was to inculcate the values of brotherhood and harmony among the general public especially youth.
