UDHAMPUR, 30 Dec: District Udhampur Open Table Tennis Championship, organised by District Table Tennis Association Udhampur in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the aegis of J&K Table Tennis Association concluded at Indoor Sports Hall, Subash Stadium here today.
Former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia was the chief guest, while Preeti Khajuria and SE Kuldee Badyal were the guests of honour.
Earlier, General Secretary Tarun presented welcome address and appreciated the young talent of District Udhampur.
Around 120 players participated in the Championship.
In Sub Junior Boys, Sourav Sharma beat Madhav Sharma by 3-2, while in Junior Boys, Madhav Sharma drubbed Prince Gupta by 3-2 and on Junior Girls, Sonali Rajput defeated Palak Khajuria by 3-1.
In Senior Boys, Gourav Sharma trounced Harshit by 3-1, while in Senior Girls, Pratibha beat Siya Sharma by 3-2.
Vinod Kumar Baru (President of the Association), Tarun General Secretary, Prikshit Khajuria (Treasurer), Ankit Sharma (Joint Secretary), Akash Sharma Organising Secretary, Sunny Sharma Vice President Akhil Bandral, Manager Sports Council Shaktish Chopra, Karun Magotra, Sanjeev Verma, Sanjay Sharma were also present.
The matches were officiated by Maninder Singh, Varun Gupta, Sourav Sharma and Vipin.
Later-on, the prizes were distributed among winners and runners-up players.
