SRINAGAR, June 7: District Level Sambo Championship commenced today at Indoor Sports Complex here.
On the occasion, Daljeet Singh Chib, Vice President, Kissan Advisory Board was the chief guest, whereas Manzoor Ahmad Tramboo was guest of honour. Vice president of the association Gabar Khan, Tulal Ahmed, Shafkat Shafi, Pankaj Singh, Sanjay Khajuria, Rahil Safi, organizing secretary, and sports lovers were also present.
In U-12 years (23 kg category), Marsha, Munaza Zahoor and Aaisha Tariq emerged winners on day one today, whereas in 37 kg category, Aayisha Javaid, Mehvish Ashraf and Riyaz claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In 32 kg category, Anika Rashid claimed first position, whereas Sanai Javaid and Maira Hamid secured second and third positions respectively.
The matches were officiated by Imran, Fazil, Hamir and Sanjay Khajuria.
