DODA, Oct 24: District Police organized a District level debate competition on “Role of Police in Nation Building’ at District Police Lines, here today.
About 10 selected students including boys and girls from different education institutions of the district participated in the competition.
Muzmial Irshad of Chenab Valley Higher Secondary School bagged 1st position whereas 2nd position was clinched by Quratul-Ain of Govt. Girl Higher Secondary School and 3rd position was secured by Deevanshi Katoch of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School.The participants were awarded with appreciation certificates and cash reward.
ADC, Kishori Lal, Addl SP, Master Popsy, District Education Planning Officer, Mohd Ayaz Mughal, Principal Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Tanveer Ahmed Wani along with teaching faculty of various schools and civil society members were also present during the event.
SSP, Mumtaz Ahmed thanked the participants and coordinating agencies for their co-operation.
Meanwhile, another District level debate competition was also organised by police under Civic Action Programme at Katra wherein SSP Reasi, Rashmi Wazir was the chief guest.
On this occasion, Jatindra Kumar Gupta, CO CRPF 6th Bn was the guest of honour while SP Katra, Amit Bhasin welcomed all the guests and prominent citizens as well as participants of the competition.
About 11 students participated in the event. The 1st prize was bagged by Bhoomi Mahajan of 8th class while 2nd prize was shared by Kartika Sharma and Shreya Kaushik both of them from 8th class and 3rd prize was secured by Khushi Dogra and Himanshi Kapoor of 9th and 12th classes respectively.
The event was adjudged by Renu Bhasin, Assistant Commissioner Relief (Migrant), Ajay Baru and Kuljeet Singh, SDPO Katra.
SSP Reasi distributed the prizes among winner students whereas vote of thanks was presented by Kuljeet Singh, SDPO Katra.
