SAMBA, Sept 4: District Jammu swept titles in Divisional Level Inter-District Roll Ball Boys Tournament, organised by the District Youth Services and Sports Office, Samba at Little Angel School, Vijaypur, here.
The Tournament was held under the supervision of Sunil Kumar, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba.
The activities are being held under the under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports, Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman and under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director (J).
In Under-14 Boys Roll Ball final, Jammu District beat Kathua District by three goals to one (3-1), while in Under-17 boys final, Jammu got the better of Kathua by seven goals to three (7-3) and in Under-19 boys final, Jammu drubbed Kathua by seven goals to one (7-1).
The matches were officiated by Sanjay Gupta, Ashok Kumar, Tarsem Singh, Vivek Singh, Mohinder Kumar, Ajay Kumar and Rajesh Kumar.
Meanwhile, District Level Inter-School Athletic Meet got underway at Sports Stadium Kathua.
A total of 165 boys are taking part in the event, which is being held under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua.
The events held today included Javelin, Shot Put, Long Jump, Discus Throw and High Jump, besides Track events.
