District Jammu clinches U-14 Football title

JAMMU, Aug 8: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu concluded the Inter-District Division Level Football U-14 Boys Tournament today at Khel Gaon, Nagrota, with District Jammu emerging victorious by defeating District Poonch by 4–1 in the final match.
The tournament was held under the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma. In the first semi-final, District Poonch edged past District Kathua in a thrilling penalty shootout (4–3).
In the second semi-final, District Jammu dominated District Udhampur with a 5–0 victory. Parbat Singh netted two goals, while Damdeep, Manzoor and Khan Diad-Ul-Abdeen contributed one goal each.
In the final, District Jammu overpowered District Poonch by 4–1. Parbat Singh scored twice, with Shiva Gupta and Khan Diad-Ul-Abdeen adding one goal each. Aian Ahmed scored the lone goal for District Poonch.
Sukhdev Raj Sharma appreciated the efforts of young athletes and encouraged them to play with sportsmanship. The tournament was efficiently conducted by departmental experts including Ajay Kumar, Taran Paul Singh, Rohit Gupta, Gurbachan Singh, Rakesh Singh, Varinder Singh and Raman Kumar, supported by various committees and technical officials.
