SRINAGAR, Mar 17: Pulwama District Boxing Championship was organized by J&K Amateur Boxing Association at Sports Stadium Pulwama, here today.
Javaid- Ul-Rehman Bhat, DDC President of Pulwama was the chief guest, while Bashir Ahmad Manager Sports Stadium was the guest of honor. They awarded the winner and runner-ups with medals and certificates in presence of Farooq Ahmad, Boxing trainer of J&K Sports Council.
In sub junior 30 kg( boys), Mohd Amin (Gold), Sheikh Azhar (Silver) and Zehnav Reshi (Bronze), while in 32 kg, Rahil Yousuf (Gold), Aehan Nawaz (Silver) and Faizan Waseem (Bronze) and in 34 kg, Gurmeet Singh (Gold), Maidan Farook (Silver) and Adnan Feroz (Bronze), besides in 36 kg, Jugmeet Singh (Gold), A Shafi (Silver) and Sahil Bhatt (Bronze), whereas in 48 kg, Hamid Bashir (Gold), Salman Nazir (Silver) and Faisal Ayoub (Bronze) and in sub junior 30kg (Girls), Ifsa Ayoub (Gold), Anishuq Jan (Silver) and Adeeba Yousin (Bronze).
In 32 kg, Maitha Yousaf, Sunaira Jan & Zainav won top three medals, while in 34 kg, Amina Yousuf, Juneda Jan and Fatima Jan secured top three medals respectively and in 36 kg, Kamil Jan, Tabasum and Rukaya Jan bagged first three places, besides in seniors men 57 kg, Mohd. Wani, Tehzan Feroz and Asif Ahmad won top three medals, while in 60 kg, Muzaiv Bin Feroz, Faizan Lone and Rayees Ahmad Lone clinched first three medals and in 64 kg, Sahil Farooq, Inamul-Ul-Javaid won gold and silver, whereas in 69 kg, first three places were won by Irfan Maqbool, Faizan Nazir and Suhail Najav respectively, in 75 kg, Faizan Ashraf, Anzav and Irfan Ganaie won gold, silver and bronze and in 81 kg, first two medals were won by Sarfaz and Shakin .
In 91kg, H Naziv won gold, while Y. Ganaie clinched silver and Mohsin Mushtaq secured bronze, while in plus 91 kg, L. Mohd Asif won gold, Mufaisiv Ahmad secured silver and Parvez Beigh clinched bronze.
