SAMBA, July 5: District Athletics Championship organized by J&K Amateur Athletic Association under the aegis of J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association concluded today at Vijaypur.
In U-18 100 meters, Anand Kumar, Sachin Sharma and Abhishek emerged winners, whereas in 200 meters, Amit Kumar, Roshan Kumar and Aman Singh secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In U-20 Boys 400 meters, Deeraj Singh, Sumit Sharma and Sunil Kumar emerged winners, whereas in 800 meters, Amit Sharma, Rajesh Sharma and Sachin claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
On the prize distribution function, Rajeshwar Singh Sambyal, SHO Vijaypur, was the chief guest who distributed prizes and certificates among the winners in presence of SS Gill, Ex-Deputy Commandant BSF and Associate Secretary J&K Athletic Association, was guest of honour on the occasion.
The championship was organized under the chairmanship of Mukesh Kumar, President District Athletic Association, Samba and Nirmal Singh, general secretary.
