JAMMU, May 27: Outstanding performance by Dikshant, Sachin and Uttkarsh helped Jammu Blue to register 12 runs win over Jammu Green in a keenly contested match and seal berth in the next round of the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Junior Cricket Premier League, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, Jammu Blue set a target of 162 runs for all out in allotted 40 overs. Dikshant and Sachin played a splendid inning of 44 runs each, while Karmanay made 21 runs.
For Jammu Green side, Keshav scalped 4 wickets while Martuvan and Praful Dhar took 2 wickets each. Adityapal and Prabjot clinched 1 wicket apiece.
In the second inning, Jammu green failed to chase the target and bundled out at 150 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in stipulated 40 overs. Aarav Mahajan played a superb inning and remained on crease till 36th over. He made 36 runs off 110 balls. Idris, Areen and Ashank chipped in 25, 22 and 17 runs respectively.
For Jammu Blue side, Uttkarsh was the pick-of-the-bowler with 4 wickets, while Sachin also bowled well and took 3 wickets. Munish Singal clinched 1 wicket.
Sachin of Jammu Blue was declared as Man of the Match.
