DIET imparts training to SMDC members under RMSA

KISHTWAR, Jan 21: Under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme (RMSA), District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Kishtwar organized 2-day workshop for the Principals, Headmasters, Sarpanchs and VEC members of Kishtwar and Nagsena zone School Management Development Committee (SMDC), here today.
It is pertinent to mention here that SMDC under RMSA was introduced by the Central Government to empower the Principals and Headmasters to accomplish the civic works for the improvement of school infrastructure.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal DIET said “Teaching community has to play a crucial role in leading the society towards prosperity. And the mantra to achieve this is to educate younger generation in a proper way.”
Earlier, in his welcome address, the Principal DIET Kishtwar threw light on the objectives of RMSA Schemes and insisted the participants to work as a cohesive unit and make strong SMDCs to address the development aspirations of the schools.
HoD DIET, Lecturers, Guest speakers and the Coordinator of RMSA imparted training to SMDCs to make them understand their role and responsibility.
