DG flags off Trekking Camp

SRINAGAR, Sept 20: Director General Youth Services and Sports (DGYSS), Saleem-ur-Rehman flagged off Residential Trekking Camp, here today.
About 86 trekkers of different schools from Kashmir participated in the 10 days camp which is being organised by Youth Services and Sports.
DG advised the students to avoid much mobile usage and go through the history of Gulmarg and the alumni trekkers, golfers and other adventurists. He also advised the students to keep the environment neat and clean by not throwing polythene and other things which pollutes the environment.
Keeping in view COVID -19 pandemic, he directed the organisers to make ensure that enough sanitizers and other medicines will be available during the camp.
“The Department of Youth Services and Sports will continue to organise such trekking camps for all students of all districts of UT J&K in coming days,” DG informed, adding that the duration of camp will be 10 days for boys, and five days for girls.
JD Kashmir Bashir Ahmad, Accounts Officer Directorate Abdul Qayoom, DYSSO Srinagar Balbir Singh and senior officials of YSS department were also present during the function.
