SRINAGAR, Apr 2: DFA Srinagar defeated Lonestar KFC and Real Kashmir thrashed J&K Bank XI
in the ongoing 26th State Football Championship 2018-19, the two quarterfinal matches of which were played at Synthetic Turf (TRC), here.
The first match was played between DFA Srinagar and Lone star KFC. Both the teams enthralled the audience by their spectacular moves. The first Goal was scored by by Farhan of DFA Srinagar in 14th minutes of the Second half and the 2nd Goal was scored by DFA Srinagar by Bilal Ahmad in the 20th minute of the second half. In the 30th minute of the second half Faizan of Lone star scored a Goal.. The players of Lonestar FC tried their best to equalize but could not, Thus DFA Srinagar defeated Lone star Club by (2-1).
The second quarterfinal match was played between J&K Bank XI and Real Kashmir FC. Both the teams tired to take lead but no one able to score a goal in the first half. In the second half, Zaid Goalkeeper of Real Kashmir made some brilliant saves which were applauded by the spectators. Thus the game ended goalless in the stipulated time.
The match was decided in tie-breaker, wherein Real Kashmir FC defeated J&K Bank by 7-6 in the sudden death.
Meanwhile, in Jammu Chapter Competition, DFA Reasi defeated DFA Udhampur (6-5) via tie-breaker.
The match was officiated by Ajay Singh, Abhishek Chandan, Rocky Sharma and Ricky Kumar.
