Development Forum holds Humanitarian Initiative Prog

JAMMU, May 27: The J&K Development Forum, Jammu, today held a Humanitarian Initiatives’ programme at Middle School, Gazia, near here.
The officers from Red Cross Society also attended the function.
Chairman JK Development Forum, Harinder Mahajan presided over the function while Naresh Sharma, SDM, RS Pura was the chief guest on the occasion. Sheetal Pandita, BDO Miran Sahib was special invitee on the occasion.
Five hundred copies and pens were distributed among the students of different government schools on the occasion.
On this occasion, the Child Line Team was also present. Kirtan Singh, H L Abrol, Camres David (Babloo), Sunil Sharma, Parshotam Mehra, Deedar Singh, S K Anand, Bansi Lal, Bimla Slathia, Virender Gupta (Toni), Sarup Singh and Parmjeet Singh were also present and expressed their views about the social work on humanitarian basis by the J&K Development Forum for the last 10 years.
Parmod Kumar, social worker and life member of the Red Cross Society, SDM Naresh Sharma and ZEO Hakiqat Aara appreciated this wonderful initiative of the J&K Development Forum.
Meanwhile, the Forum distributed stationary items, uniforms and shoes to the needy students. A large number of people were present on the occasion. Harjeet Kour conducted the proceedings of the programme.
The students also presented cultural items on the occasion which enthralled the audience.
School Headmistress, Reeta also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the Forum’s initiatives.
The BDO advised the parents that they should guide their children towards education and said that every student should know the contact numbers of their parents.
Others who were present on the occasion included Dalbir Singh, Ved Parkash Bhagat, Madan Lal Gupta, Des Raj, vijay Kumar, Saroop singh, Bishamber Dass, Raj Kumar, Ashok Gupta, Parshotam Mehra, Sudesh Bhagat, Romesh Lal and Puran Chand.
