RAMBAN, Sept 13: Delta Force organized Know Your Army Mela and Equipment Display at Government Senior Secondary School, Batote, here today.
The event was one of the month long celebration to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of historical victory of Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan in 1965 war.
The programme was aimed at educating the students and their parents about golden history of Indian Army.
The event was attended by Major General AS Rawat, General Officer Commanding Delta Force, Bhupinder Kumar, DDC Doda, Bashir Ahmed Dar, DDC Ramban and Jagjit Singh Vice Principal Government Senior Secondary School, Batote, besides teachers and Sarpanches of the region.
The stalls of Equipment Display, Dog Show, Live Army Band Performance and Medical Care were highlights of the show.
The students of various Schools of Batote have shown keen interest in each of the stall.
Rajni Rawat facilitated Veer Nari, Soma Devi, wife of Late Naik Balwan Singh of 4 PARA.
Mrs Rawat and Ankita Kai, wife of Bhupinder Kumar distributed sweet amongst the children.
The successful conduct of the event will go a long way in strengthening the bond between Awam and Armed Forces which will further contribute to promote peace in the region.
