REASI, Jan 31: In connection with Traffic Awareness among students, the Motor Vehicles Department Reasi in association with District Information Centre Reasi today organized a Debate at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Reasi on the topic “Safety is our Motto, What’s Yours”.
District Information Officer, Parvinder Kour, ARTO Rajesh Gupta, DySP Mohan Sharma, Principal GGHSS, PD Sharma and staff members of GGHSS were present on the occasion.
10 students took part in the event and putforth their views on the topic. Anjana Kumari was adjudged as first, while Chinta Devi and Prinka Sharma got second and third positions respectively. Consolation prizes were given to Surbi Sharma and Lakshmi Devi.
While addressing the gathering, ARTO and DIO urged the students to adopt road safety measures apart from spreading word about need for observing traffic rules and said that properly following the traffic norms can prevent fatal road accidents to a large extent.
The participants were awarded with the prizes on the occasion.
Rakesh Kumar Chobbe, Lecturer presented proceedings of the programme.
Later-on, a cultural programme was presented by the cultural assistants of Information Department Reasi, which was highly appreciated by the students and the staff.
