JAMMU, May 26: DBN Amarvilla today organized a function with great splendour and solemnity on its premises.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Deputy Superintendent of Police of J&K Police, Farha Nishat, as the chief guest. The event was also honoured by the gracious presence of Rajendra Kakkar, Manager, DBN Trust; Darshan Lal, Co-Manager; and Ranju Malhotra, Principal, DBN Amarvilla.
The ceremony, which was also attended by students and their parents, commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.
In her address, Principal Ranju Malhotra emphasized the indispensable role of discipline, integrity, and perseverance in shaping responsible future citizens.
The newly elected Student Council of DBN Amarvilla was formally entrusted with its responsibilities during the ceremony. Nilesh Wadhwa was appointed Head Boy, while Priyani Magotra assumed the position of Head Girl. Parth Mahajan and Venuka Sharma were designated Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl, respectively.
On the occasion, the prestigious Dewanini Gyan Jyoti Award was presented to Class X school topper Veer Vikram Aditya Singh Kakkar, while Gauresh Wadhwa, Anmol Sharma, and Taksham Gupta were honoured for emerging as toppers in the Science, Humanities, and Commerce streams, respectively, in Class XII.
The Yatinderjit Singh Yuva Gaurav Pratibha Puruskar was presented to Harsh Dubey for his remarkable achievement as a national-level fencing player, while the Narinderjit Singh Kartavya Nishtha Puruskar was presented to Shri Sham, Ramesh Kumar, and Kanta Devi for their sincere contributions towards the smooth functioning of the institution.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Darshan Lal.
