JAMMU, Dec 26: Maharaja Harisingh DAV Centenary Public School Akhnoor celebrated its Prize Distribution Function in the school campus, here.
The programme was based on the theme “Insaan Hain Hum”.
Principal of the school and staff accorded a warm welcome to the chief guest, Gopal Singh SDM, Akhnoor, Presiding Officer HR Pakhroo, Joint Director School Education Jammu, besiodes guests of honour including Rajeev Sharma, Ex MLA Akhnoor, Depesh Singh Pawar, Chairman Municipal Committee Akhnoor, ID Soni, State Commissioner Bharat Scouts & Guides, Tushar Kant Sharma, D P Khajuria, former Director Horticulture J&K.
Principals of various schools were the special guests on the occasion.
The function started with the lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest, presiding officer and other dignitaries. Principal of the school Alok Betab presented the annual report sharing the credential, laurels and development of the school.
The students displayed a wide array of colourful and reverberant performances. The cultural bonanza was highly impressive and the parents were spellbound by the programme presented by the children.
The dignitaries honoured the meritorious students on the occasion.
The function concluded with vote of thanks followed by National Anthem.
