JAMMU, Dec 14: Daffodils Care Convent Playway School, Jain Bazar celebrated its 7th Annual Day Function with pomp and show at Abhinav Theatre, here today.
Prof Renu Nanda, Retired Associate Professor in Hindi was the chief guest on the occasion, while Manikarnika Sharma, Founder Principal Mount Litera Zee School was the guest of honour.
The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the Gayatri Mantra.
The children showcased the theme of Annual Day ‘Fateh….. Conquer your dreams’ through a well-weaved presentation of a short play in which a small child has the dream to become a soldier and how his parents help him to know more about the tough phases of life of a soldier.
It signified the responsibility of parents to identify the capabilities and interests of their children and help him to achieve their goals. The little buds captured the heart of the audience through their wonderful performance.
The chief guest congratulated the Management, Principal, Staff members and students for putting up a beautiful show.
She also appreciated the efforts of the school in providing all-round development to the children.
The chief guest and the guest of honour distributed the scrolls of honour and trophies among the students on the occasion.
