CUJ organizes International Webinar on ‘Covid-19 & Emotional Wellness’

JAMMU, May 15: A Two-day International Webinar on ‘Covid-19 and Emotional Wellness’ is being organized by the School of Education, Central University of Jammu, under Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) scheme of Government of India.
The key objective of this webinar is to discuss and identify the factors and symptoms of increased anxiety during the global pandemic Covid-19 and come across the appropriate strategies to balance the emotional status of the stakeholders of education.
The inaugural session of the Webinar was graced by Prof Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, Padam Shri Dr Balwant Thakur, Cultural Diplomat of India to South Africa, Prof C.B Sharma, Former Chairperson, National Institute of Open Schooling, New Delhi, Prof GM Mallick, BGSBU, Rajouri, Prof S M Mishra, Kurukshetra University, Haryana, Prof Kiran Deep Kour, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr Rishi Goel, SIASTE, Jhajjar, Haryana, Prof Dhanjay Joshi, GGSIP University, New Delhi, Prof SK Jain, CUJ, Prof Rita Arora, Jaipur University, Rajasthan, Dr Mrityunjay Sharma, HPU, Shimla, Luh Angelianawati, Universitas Kristen Indonesia, in Jakarta, Indonesia, Prof Sarika Shrama, CU Haryana, Prof Vinod Shanwal, Goutam Buddha University, Noida, Prof Usha Tikoo, SSCE, Jammu, Dr Priyadarshini, GBU, Noida, Sanjay, Counselor from, Dr JN Baliya, CUJ, Juhie Mohan, Big FM Jammu.
The webinar was witnessed by the delegates from various part of India as well as abroad. The webinar is being conducted through online mode by using the Google-meet application.
While inaugurating the International Webinar, Prof Aima, highlighted various capacity building programmes being initiated by the faculty from Education Department of CUJ and involving all the stakeholders from different educational sectors of the country and abroad.
He congratulated Dr J N Baliya, HoD, Educational Studies, CUJ and Programme Coordinator PMMMNMTT for organizing such events in which about 2000 participants got registered for this Webinar.
Prior to this, Dr Baliya, formally welcomed the guests and delegates.
Dr Ritu Bakshi, Associate Professor, Department of Educational Studies, CUJ and the Organizing Secretary of the Webinar briefed the participants about the outline of the two-day webinar.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof CB Sharma, former Chairperson of the NIOS, New Delhi.
Dr Sharma vehemently stated that ‘life is more important than education and anything else’.
Dr Rishi Goel said that it is not only the responsibility of the Governments but every citizen has to play a significant role to combat with the situation.
Prof Dhananjay Joshi, Prof Sarika Sharma, Prof Vinod Kumar, Dr Priyadarshini and Sanjay also spoke during the webinar.
The sessions were moderated by Dr JN Baliya, Dr Ritu Bakshi, Dr Aman, Dr Kiran, Dr Asit Mantry and Dr Ravi Vanguri.
