CU honours Sumit for winning two gold medals at national level

JAMMU, May 1: Sumit Thakyal who won two gold medals in the Powerlifting (Men) Championship held at Delhi has been honoured by Vice-Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. Bechan Lal here today.
The Championship was organized by Indian Powerlifting Federation in Delhi where Sumit won one medal in full Power-lifting and another gold medal won by breaking 10 times National record. He was also awarded with a trophy of ‘Strongest Man of India’. It is the 10th time he has been awarded as the Strongest Man of India.
Ankur Mahajan, Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. Ranvijay Singh, Dean Student’s Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu, Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Physical Education & Sports, Cluster University of Jammu, Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director, Govt. MAM College, Ravi Kumar, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce and Kajal Premi, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu were also present on the occasion.
