Cricketer Raina pays obeisance at Vaishno Devi Cave

JAMMU, Sept 25: Former international Cricketer, Suresh Raina today paid obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine situated in Trikuta Hills of mountainous Reasi district along with J&K Police Officers.
“Cricketer Raina along with officials of J&K Police reached at base camp Katra and flew to Bhawan to pay obeisance at Vaishno Devi shrine,” sources said. For the last few days, Raina was visiting in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir and interacted with the local youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He recently visited Kunzar Play Ground of North Kashmir Baramulla district and educated the youth regarding cricket skill.
During his interaction with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and DGP Dilbag Singh, he assured both of them for his support in upgrading sports infra-structure in the rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir for helping youth to realise their dreams.
Raina, a Kashmiri Pandit, originally hails from Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The 33-year-old left handed batsman represented India in more than 300 internationals in a career that spanned over 13 years.
